Indeed Application Still Says “Applied”: Has Anyone Seen It?

Applied confirms that Indeed recorded your submission. It does not prove the employer has not seen it, but it also does not confirm an individual review. If you applied through a link to another site, that employer portal may show different information.
Does Applied mean unseen?
Not conclusively. Indeed's Application Viewed status is the clearer confirmation that an employer reviewed your application. Applied is primarily a submission record.
Why might the status not update?
The employer may review in batches, work in another applicant system, or not update each candidate-facing label. Statuses summarize selected events rather than every action behind the scenes.
How long can Applied remain?
There is no Indeed-wide deadline. It can remain while the employer is collecting applications, reviewing elsewhere, or has not made a visible update. Time alone cannot show your place in the queue.
What signs show the application is moving?

What should you do next?
Confirm you completed any redirected application, check messages, and follow the employer's timeline. If none was given, one concise check-in after one to two weeks can be reasonable. Continue applying elsewhere; do not submit duplicates.
